The Finnish choreographer Jarkko Mandelin joined forces with the dancers from the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD) and created a piece called Beneath the Falling Sky. We asked Jarkko Mandelin a few questions concerning his choreographic work, leading his dance company, and discovering new ways in dance and movement.

Doc. Václav Janeček Phd. is dancer, dance pedagog, ballet master, publicist a choreographer, working for 40 years on czech dance scene. We are happy, he spend some time with questions, prepared by Brígida Pereira Neves, demisoloist from NDM.

On 4 December, Ostrava's Multi-Disciplinary Arts Centre Cooltour presented a piece with a slightly mysterious title, ANGEL-as (ANGEL-y). An intimate piece for two performers was inspired by angles and everything that related to them, such as various clichés, romantic illusions, religious references, consumerist caricatures of angelic creatures or true symbols of good.

On Friday the spectators have had the opportunity to see the last performance of the festival, but it was not the final program of the festival. On Saturday we could have admired the Ostrava primiere of the Nukleus project.

We have had four packed days , six performances, full standing ovations, hundreds of spectators and dozens of questions answered in the discussions. And also two lectures. On Friday we had the last lecture, the last discussion with performers...
